(Introduction by Les)

1. Do you prefer outside or inside?

MYRTLE: Both-Both-Both-Both. There are sometimes I just don't feel like going outside, or inside! Think of all those woods, trees, waters, animals, and things wanting and waiting to happen. But then think of all that could be done inside... (I actually do like washing dishes...)

LES: When the weather is deliciously thrilling, indoors is almost a barrier.
When the blankets are warm and you're waiting for the first snow amid
drifts of smoky grey leaves when everything is silent . . . indoors calls.

S.F.: Outside. Most of the time.

2. Would you rather live in the mountains or forest?

MYRTLE: Might as well tell you now, there's not a lot of singled out favourites! Both.

LES: In the forest, "beyond the forest," and in the mountains for the week
before Overlithe (you may wish to brush up on Shire Reckoning).

S.F.: Tough question! Eh, the mountains in summer and the forest in winter. :)

3. What's your favorite animal?

MYRTLE: ...mmmm, I don't think there is ONE. But I do like animals !!

LES: kiwi, dolphins, otters, hummingbirds, seals, mearas.

S.F.: I have two: Turtles and hedgehogs.

4. If you had the chance to live in a castle but it was in the cold mountains, would you do it?

MYRTLE: Yep, 'cause you know I picked Mountains and Forests. I go in the forest with an axe (you did no say I could not bring one!!) I get wood, bring to castle, rub two sticks together -FIRE-
No more cold.

Now what am I going to eat?

LES: Is it my castle? Can I have Turkish delight? Answer me that, and I will answer you. ;)

S.F.: Yes. I would.

5. What color are your eyes?

MYRTLE: S.F. observed, and said:light brown, green, gray, orange, and "Pretty!" Don"t forget that they are patterned.

LES: hazel.

S.F.: Same colour as my hair. :)

6. What color is your hair?

MYRTLE: It's dark brown. With copper highlights.

LES: hazel brown.

S.F.: Same colour as my eyes. . .dark brown. If you want to know, it's chocolate brown.

7. What's your middle name?

MYRTLE:Apparently I'm not supposed to actually tell you ↓, but, it is pretty, has four letters, and starts with an N.

LES: it starts with and E
and is not the same as S.F.'s

S.F.: It starts with an E. (One of my Grandmothers' middle names.)

9. What's your favorite movie?

MYRTLE: asterix GASP asterix  You'll never guess!!! I don't have ONE.

LES: Middle-earth saga + Forever Strong

S.F.: Do the LOTR and the Hobbit count as one?

10. What's your favorite book?

MYRTLE:Scriptures.

S.F.: Books are fabulous, alright? I love them. If we're talking about a book besides the Scriptures, you have me stumped.

11. Do you enjoy reading?

MYRTLE: Si.

LES: almost as much as I enjoy breathing.

S.F.: Well, YES I DO.

Note: Elizabeth Lindsay also awarded us the Liebster Award. Thank you!

1. What is your favorite book?

MYRTLE: ↓

LES: (see above)

S.F.:  ^Answer above.^

2. Favorite Movie?

MYRTLE: ↓↑

LES: (see above)

S.F.: ^Answer above.^

3. Favorite flavor of ice cream?

MYRTLE: Really now, there isn't a favourite.Ice Cream is delicious...

LES: coconut vanilla. ♥

S.F.: I was going to put another answer, but Les asked if I had abandoned a DELICIOUS kind called "Turtle Trail." No, I haven't abandoned it, but I haven't eaten it in AGES.

4. Favorite season?

MYRTLE:ALL.

LES: when the frost creeps in the morning,
when the morning's dew-pearled,
when the roses are red, red,
when I see the snow settle from
the comfort of bed.

S.F.: All...or spring and autumn.

5. Are you excited about Battle of the Five Armies coming out later this year? I know I am!!!

MYRTLE:Uhh-huhhhh!!!!! And do you know what !? "The Last Goodbye" means we won't have to say any more goodbyes, because, we know of...The Undying Lands. Let's get a grip now.←that's very funny.

LES: about the what? is there some battle going on somewhere with
five armies in some part of the world or...what?
oh. that one film. yeah, I might be a little feels-mad over that. maybe.

S.F.: No comment. Yes. Wait, that was a comment. Nine days. We're into the single digits now.

6. Favorite Bible passage?

MYRTLE: Again, that one↓

LES: Rev. 21:4, King James Version.

S.F.: John 16:33, KJV
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

7. Frodo or Sam?

MYRTLE: Both.

LES: Samwise has been my hero
since my early childhood years.
but he can't go on without Frodo,
and Frodo can't go on without Sam.

S.F.: I love both! But maybe Frodo? (He was my favourite when I was little.)

8. Legolas or Aragorn? *Evil laugh* I know that's a tough one for some...

MYRTLE: Both.

LES: Legolas. observe the similarity in our names.
omit the 'gola' and one of us was inspired by the
other in name choice. "or something of that ilk,"
to quote his ada. though to be sure, Aragorn is
such an admirable fellow. don't make me pick both.

S.F.: Of that I am not certain.

9. Eowyn or Arwen?

MYRTLE: Both.

LES: from childhood, Arwen was my heroine.
why I can't connect with the Shieldmaiden of Rohan
as I do with the lady Elves, who can explain.

S.F.: I'll say Eowyn, although both are brilliant.

10. Boromir or Faramir?

MYRTLE: Both.

LES: Boromir's passing made me sob such as I had never
recollected wailing before, true as Tolkien did that to him.
then how it affects Faramir, and their brotherly bond.
do these "[insert madly brill character] vs. [insert jolly epic character]"
questions really require response or are they rhetorical?

S.F.: Must I choose between them?

11. Out of all the LOTR movies, which one is your favorite and why?

MYRTLE: That one↓ I don't have all the "why"s. Maybe because that's the only one I saw in a theatre, maybe it's because of experiences like unto TROTK experiences, and most likely because it's brilliant!!!! (Oh yeah, the other ones are too... )

LES: please be another rhetorical inquiry. of course TROTK,
and yet there is so much goodness in the rest. -.-

S.F.: The Return of the King. Why? Wull, it's the end which isn't exactly the happiest thing about it, but there's the final battle and all evil is destroyed. It's all very happy and all very sad at the same time.

As for nominating. . .hasn't everyone already been nominated? :) With that in mind, we'll skip nominating and coming up with questions. Again we thank Sarah and Elizabeth for these awards; they were a delight to answer, even of we did take a long time.
