Yesterday was the birthday of our two dear hobbits, Mr. Bilbo Baggins and Mr. Frodo Baggins! It was also Hobbit Day. (Of course.)

These are photos of my birthday cake this year. It was decorated with my sisters' and my Hobbit action-figures. :)

Well, we still have to make a cake for the hobbits themselves. Yesterday we listened to music from LotR/the Hobbit, and people kept saying, "Happy birthday, Bilbo!" to me because I'm the resident Bilbo. (It's like having two birthdays.)
What did you do for their birthdays?

Did you know that you can watch all of season 3 of Sherlock, until the 25th, on PBS's website? They made it available for a short time because of their Emmy pick-ups recently. I was excited to watch them all again. :) Love Sherlock!!

No, I did not know that. Sherlock is a favourite of mine, too--but I've never watched it in full! Thank you so much for telling! Dusk is falling at the moment, so I don't think we'd be able to watch very much, but THANK YOU again. :)

I'm sorry I didn't think of it before now. :P You'll just have to check in to PBS, because they post vids from time to time, even if the series isn't currently airing (and you can watch current shows that are airing). That's how I keep up with my favorite shows because we don't have cable.
DeleteCheers!
That is alright! Things like that do happen. :) Thank you again for the information about PBS, Abby.
DeleteCheers in return.
I. want. that. cake. ;) Happy Birthday, Bilbo and Frodo! "May your memory never fade!" *well I just gave myself unneeded feels* :) I celebrate the actors and actresses birthdays:) *smirk*
ReplyDeleteYou could have had some. I would gladly have given you some! :)
DeleteFeels. Yes, feeeeeelllllsss. I give myself feels a lot too. For no reason.
Ahhh, friend! You make me so happy to know I'm not the only person who smirks many a time. *smirk* Ehehe. . .
Oh my goodness! My children! *hearts in eyes*
ReplyDeleteDo you ever just cry because hobbits???
I remembered this special day during the evening of it & so I hummed the Shire tune in honor of the celebration. :) Aww!! So they call you Bilbo? How sweet. *melts* You can all call me Fili, peeps. :) Just so you're aware. I'm totally okay with the nickname. ;)
DUDE! Your figurines!! *dies* That's amazing...and the cake! Sigh..... I need to meet you all in real life.
The pinterest picture... *cries* Thank you for the family feels. They swelled up my heart. :)
Most certainly I do "just cry because hobbits." Most of the time not out loud, but mostly inwardly. HOBBITS. An' I also can be going perfectly through out the day, then have a fangirl-attack because I remember that Bilbo's going to have a mithrill (that is nit how you spell it. o.o) shirt.
DeleteThat's perfect! Les played Dreaming of Bag-end/Concerning Hobbits/etc. Oh the feels.
Aww! Yes, I will call you Fili. (I just realised Lily and Fili rhymed!) And you can call me Bilbo. Hi ho to all you fangirls out there! Who d'you want to be?
We need to meet--period. exclamation point!
Family feels? Love you, gal. We are a family. I LOVE MY MIDDLE-EARTH FAMILY.
~ S. F.
You can just call me Kili, since Lily says he and I have a lot of things in common:)
DeleteAwww. . .Fili and Kili, Bilbo and. . .you Smaug, Les? ♥ ♥
DeleteYes, apparently I do too. Odd how it's the younger sibling who's reckless, eh? ;)

Happiest Hobbitest Day (bit overdue), most especially to the birthday lads, Mr. Bilbo and Master Frodo!
ReplyDeleteTouching tribute, m'dear own Bilbo Boggins...*wipes eyes* Ahh, hobbits.

Quoting myself from a comment left 15 Jan, 2014:
Delete"for me, kili is the one i am more "attached" to, in particular because i have an older sister (myrtle) who is like fili to me. then again, s.f., my younger sister, is the kili to my fili, which can become increasingly confusing upon occasion. might i also add that whenever we pretend to be the dwarves, i am most often kili? yeah."
Like the dragon in his selfishness, I want to "be" all of my favourites for you. Yet moreover, I would have you happy. And if it's my place to be your Smaug now, I'll try to please you. xxx
Well, sister, you can be whoever you want to be. It is really up to you. :) But you'll always be my Fili, even if we act like Bilbo and Smaug sometimes, which does happen. You'll always be there for me and I'll always be there for you. Always.
DeleteIt's up to youuuuuuuuu to be who you want to be!
Ehehehehe. . .

If I wasn't creator of the fan-fictional chronicles I'd mistake your third and fourth sentences to be from The Adventures of Fili & Kili. ☺
